Report on the Group AGM
by Pamela Moore
The group’s AGM was held on 17 September 2007 and was attended by the Committee and approximately 60 group members.
Following adoption of the 2006 minutes, Stan Bailey presented his report.
He was pleased to note that this has been our 30th anniversary year, during which we have had many successful events.
Dave Cromack spoke at the 30th anniversary meeting on “World Class Images”.
Stan reported on the coach outings and holidays held during the year, which included the mystery trip to Kentwell Hall,
Christmas dinner, a weekend break in Cumbria and a ten-day holiday in Poland.
Our sales team attended several Fetes and Fun Days. Our donations to the Society increased by over £300 compared to 2006.
Stan acknowledged the efforts of Frances Attrill, Bruce Bennett
and Bert Bonney, who have raised a substantial amount with quizzes, talks and
the pin badge boxes. He also thanked Alison Newberry and John Gowers (100 Club),
Peter Newberry (bird food sales) and Shirley Rowe (raffles).
Stan expressed his thanks to everyone who has assisted with the programme
throughout the year.
The Treasurer, Marian Crecraft, reported on the financial accounts for the year
to 31 March 2007 and advised that £6,696.58
had been sent to the Society by the Group. The 100 Club had made a donation of
£300 last year and advised that its membership
still had vacancies.
Marian Crecraft and Pamela Moore were re-elected to the Committee.
The formal business was followed by a digital presentation and talk by John
Eyre.
