SPARROWHAWK

These excellent photos of a Sparrowhawk were taken by Brian Gray (a member of the local group) in his garden in Southgate Road, Potters Bar, UK on the 4th November 2003 at about 14:15. The bird was in his garden for about 40 minutes. Brian thinks that it is a juvenile just getting its bearings. He now fears that the many sparrows who visit his garden will will be a tasty meal when/if the Sparrowhawk returns, which is maybe why it was there in the first place.
